Vivi Widyawati

Coordinator for Gender and Labour Rights - Perempuan Mahardhika – Indonesia

Vivi Widyawati is a women’s activist who has been actively involved in the fight for gender equality since 2000. In 2003, she took the initiative to establish Perempuan Mahardhika, an organization that focuses on organizing and fighting for women’s rights.

Since 2010, Vivi has been involved in various policy advocacy processes related to women’s and labour issues, and since 2013 she has consistently explored the issue of women workers in the labour movement. In addition to advocacy and organizing work, she has experience conducting labor research, particularly related to gender-based violence, working conditions, power relations, and the vulnerability of women workers.

Vivi is also has long exprerience as a trainer in various trade unions, facilitating training on Gender and Gender-Based Violence, with a feminist approach based on the life and work experiences of female workers.
