Orli Arav has over 20 years of experience in impact investing and development finance, with a strong focus on delivering positive social and environmental outcomes through market-driven solutions and innovative partnerships. She currently leads EMFin Advisory, a boutique advisory firm supporting private sector investment in infrastructure, particularly climate and carbon credits, across Africa. Alongside this, she holds several non-executive roles, including Non-Executive Director of Sarona Asset Management, a private investment fund-of-funds in emerging markets; the Global Gender Smart Fund (GGSF), which provides short- and medium-term financing to promote gender equality; Axian Energy, a power development company operating in Africa; and Camelia PLC, an AIM-listed global agricultural group, as well as Investment Committee Member of AgDevCo and the Zafiri fund. Previously, she held senior positions at Cygnum Capital, the Soros Economic Development Fund, Impala Energy Holdings, and the Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund, where she led, structured, and closed numerous transactions across sectors and countries. She has a strong track record in capital raising from international development agencies, commercial banks, and DFIs, as well as managing relationships with fund boards and stakeholders.
