Mirey is the Chief of the Adaptation and Resilience Branch within UNEP’s Climate Change Division, leading initiatives on ecosystem-based adaptation, national adaptation planning, REDD+, and loss and damage, and spearheading efforts on mobilizing private and public finance for climate action to align human well-being with planetary health. With over 20 years of experience, she has worked across the Arab States and over 20 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, focusing on Central Africa and the Congo Basin, including roles in private industry, public administration, NGOs, and the UN.
