Co-Head of Asset Management - ThirdWay Partners

Maarten is a Co-Head of Asset Management for ThirdWay Partners, an impact investment and advisory firm. He started his career in investment banking in London and Hong Kong. Following his passion for wildlife and nature, Maarten relocated to East Africa, where he led corporate finance for one of the leading safari operators in the region. At ThirdWay, he is amongst others responsible for leading the Africa Conservation & Communities Tourism Fund, an initiative which protects and grows biodiversity, climate resilience, and rural economic development in sub-Saharan Africa, as well as its proposed successor vehicle targeting Africa and Latin America.
