Markus Stierli

Head of the Sustainability Investment Office - Vontobel Asset Management AG

Markus Stierli is Head of the Sustainability Investment Office at Vontobel Asset Management AG, where he is responsible for sustainability strategy, investment governance, and the integration of sustainability considerations across the firm’s investment platform.

Prior to joining Vontobel in 2022, Markus spent 12 years at Credit Suisse, where he held various leadership positions including Head of Pension Solutions and Head of Thematic Investment Research. Earlier in his career, he was a lecturer at the University of Zurich and started his career as a Market Risk Analyst at UBS Warburg.

Markus holds a PhD (summa cum laude) in International Relations from the University of Zurich, as well as a CAS in Occupational Pensions from the University of St. Gallen. He is a CAIA Charterholder.
