De Rui Wong is Head of the Sustainability Office at GIC, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, where he leads research on sustainability themes, including climate change, nature, and supply chains, that materially affect GIC’s investment portfolio. Working with industry partners, peers, academia, and GIC’s investment teams, he develops the investment integration tools, analytics, and strategies that position GIC to be future-ready for these long-term trends.

Drawing on his background as a macro strategist and equity analyst, De Rui translates complex sustainability concepts into insights investors can act on. He serves as a Board Committee Member of the Asia Investor Group on Climate Change (AIGCC) and co-chairs its Paris-aligned investing working group, which advances investor solutions supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy.

He was named one of AsianInvestor’s Top 10 Sovereign Wealth Fund Executives in Asia for 2024, and holds a BA (Honours) in Economics from Northwestern University.
