Beatriz Elias is the Blue Finance Lead at the World Economic Forum, where she works to mobilize capital for ocean health and regeneration. Within the Forum’s ACT Ocean initiative, she leads projects focused on innovative financing models for sustainable ocean industries, including ports, shipping, offshore renewable energy, food systems, tourism and marine conservation – bringing together investors, governments and businesses to develop scalable funding solutions for the ocean economy.

Beatriz is an investment professional with more than 15 years of experience in impact investing and development finance. Before joining the Forum, she worked at Symbiotics, Obviam and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), focusing on investment structuring, credit risk, ESG and impact assessment. She holds an MBA from IMD and bachelor’s degrees from Fundação Getulio Vargas and Maastricht University.
