Africa Conservation & Communities Tourism Fund
Delivering biodiversity & climate gains through nature-positive firms.
Large natural landscapes face growing threats, and cannot depend on government funding or philanthropy for their survival – both are unpredictable and unsustainable over time. We back nature-positive tourism companies through loans, to generate real, reliable income to pay for the cost of landscape conservation, safeguarding biodiversity and climate resilience, whilst simultaneously generating significant benefits for very rural communities. A2CCT builds on the success of ACCT Fund 1, targeting US$125m to scale beyond East & South Africa into new frontiers in the Congo Basin and Latin America.
Investment & impact strategy: Senior secured debt with royalty upside for nature-positive tourism operators, to drive biodiversity, climate resilience and rural development in EMs. Fully segregated impact governance run by The Nature Conservancy as Impact Advisor. Legally binding impact covenants embed impact in every loan.
