Centre for Finance and Development, Geneva Graduate Institute

The Centre for Finance and Development is an ambitious, collaborative research hub and a leading international and interdisciplinary exchange platform in finance and development-related topics.

By offering Master and PhD in sustainable finance and impact investing, it creates a new generation of professionals and researchers to lead the financial world towards incorporating sustainability and impact.

The most important challenges to sustainable finance are: the failures of markets to price sustainability risks; lack of consensus on standards and definitions; heterogeneity and inconsistency on SDG data/services; improvement of market governance mechanisms and regulatory oversight; design/implementation of digital technological solutions; internalisation of sustainability norms into public policy/corporate governance.
